MCS brought The Left Door to life as an intimate, vintage-inspired cocktail lounge tucked above one of Cow Hollow’s most recognizable neighborhood corners. Conceived as a celebration of San Francisco’s history, nightlife, and enduring love of a proper drink, the space pairs the mystery of a hidden speakeasy with the polish of a truly elevated hospitality experience. Rich millwork, dramatic wallcoverings, layered lighting, custom bar detailing, and carefully composed finishes create an atmosphere that feels collected over time rather than newly constructed. Every element required a high level of precision, from the transitions between materials to the integration of lighting and building systems within the richly detailed interior. The result is an immersive destination where craftsmanship sets the tone before the first cocktail
